3 Brunch Spots in Manhattan You Don’t Want To Miss

Hello NYC Lover!

Manhattan is a paradise for brunch lovers. Filled with trendy cafes and hidden gems there is something for everyone. We absolutely love that area of New York and we are thrilled to recommend you three of our current favorite locations for brunch in Manhattan NYC in 2025!

The Butcher’s Daughter

Butcher's Daughter Brunch Cafe Interrior

Website: The Butcher’s Daughter Nolita

Address: 19 Kenmare Street, Nolita, Manhattan

Key Points: They take reservations. Weekend brunch. Weekdays all day breakfast

Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Nolita, The Butcher’s Daughter is one of our absolute favorites for a lovely late breakfast on the weekend! Don’t get confused by the name, this spot is vegetarian only with lots of delicious food options on the menu including classics like shakshuka but also specialties like the hot honey & beet stone oven pizza. We recommend you to book a table in advance since it tends to get very busy on the weekends.

This restaurant is like a ray of sunshine, the interior is bright with yellow, beige, and green colors and gets lots of daylight through the large windows. They also have outdoor seating for the warmer days. Now let’s talk food: I (Tanin) had the Mediterranean Breakfast and Florian had the Shakshuka. Both dishes were super delicious, well-prepared, and arrived quickly. The staff? Absolutely fantastic - polite, attentive, and eager to accommodate any request. We did have some small issues with the table we were seated at first and also Florian’s water glass was dirty, but the staff was quick to help us with those things and give us a new table.

When it comes to beverages, The Butcher’s Daughter truly shines. Their menu is packed with unique and seasonal specialties - I mean, who wouldn’t want to try a Walnut Cacao Latte or a Cardamom Rose Latte?! Alongside our coffee, we also ordered one of their elixir shots, which came in a larger portion than expected - a pleasant surprise - and was really tasty!

Another major plus? No extra charge for milk alternatives - unfortunately still a rarity in NYC and definitely a win compared to many other places.

For those who like to work while sipping their coffee, free WiFi is available, but with one catch: laptops are only allowed on weekdays.

If we have to deduct points, it would be for the lack of restrooms, there’s only one for all guests, which can lead to a wait if you visit on busy weekends. Also, eggs can’t be ordered hard-boiled (My favored way of having eggs), which was a slight letdown. But honestly, these are minor details—overall, there’s hardly anything to complain about. We’ll definitely be back! 😊

Pumps or Sneakers?
This spot has a casual vibe, so Sneakers are the way to go - though I still rock my Pumps all day every day! 😉

And now, it’s time for our ratings! Each of us will rate different aspects of the restaurant on a scale from 1 to 5:

Citizens of SoHo

Citizens of SoHo Brunch Cafe Interrior

Website: Citizens of SoHo

Address: 201 Lafayette St, Nolita, Manhattan

Key Points: They take reservations. Breakfast all day, everyday (weekdays 7am-4pm and weekends 7am-5pm)

Let’s start with a little fun fact: Guess where this restaurant is located—SoHo, right? Well, wrong! 😉 Citizens of SoHo is actually in Nolita. But to be fair, if it were just one street further west, it would indeed be SoHo!

Originally from Australia, this spot offers a pleasant ambiance, though it has a slightly industrial vibe (which is quite trendy, I guess). Similar to The Butcher’s Daughter, it gets quite busy on weekends, so we strongly recommend making a reservation.

The menu offers a good variety of guilty pleasures but also healthier options for those who prefer something lighter. We ordered the Big Brekkie and the Cheddar Biscuit Brekkie Sandwich, and while both were delicious, the portions were on the smaller side - especially for me (Florian), as I could have used a bit more, but Tanin was kind enough to share hers with me. 😉

Service was excellent, with all our requests met promptly. We both enjoyed our coffees and shared a fresh grapefruit-orange juice. There’s also a great selection of milk alternatives, though they come at an extra charge. We do have some minor negative aspects to add: Firstly the limited egg options you can pick from. They offer scrambled or poached, which is fine but something to keep in mind. Also similar to The Butcher’s Daughter they only have one restroom which is for all customers but also for the staff.

If you’re looking to bring your laptop, keep in mind that laptops are only allowed on weekdays. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our visit. While we may be a bit picky about certain details, we just want to highlight what stood out to us. That said, we loved it and will definitely return! 😊

Pumps or Sneakers?
We would say this is a Sneakers kind of place, but honestly you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. It's a very versatile spot. 😉

Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde Brunch Cafe Interrior

Website: Oscar Wilde

Address: 45 W 27th St, NoMad, Manhattan

Key Points: They take reservations. Sat & Sun Brunch: 11:00AM - 3:00 PM

This Restaurant really is Wild or let's call it extraordinary. The interior transforms with the seasons or holidays, with lots of love and attention to the detail. It feels like a different place every time you go. Oscar Wilde is located in the neighbourhood of NoMad in the heart of Manhattan and very close to the Empire State Building. It comes with a Victorian charm and lots of seating options, they also take reservations which is always a plus.

We visited for brunch, which, unfortunately, is only available on weekends. However, they do serve lunch and dinner on weekdays. Florian and I tried three dishes on their Brunch menu. We had the Farmer’s Omelette (eggwhites only), the Burrata Avocado Toast and Lulu’s Bagel Board. The board is basically a build it yourself salmon and cream cheese bagel, which did not impress us as much. There are so so many good bagel spots in New York (stay tuned for that article 😉) so we would recommend going with something else here. With that said we did enjoy The Farmer’s Omelette and the Burrata Toast a lot. Both were very filling, well prepared and nicely presented. 🙂

Okay let’s cut to the chase: Compared to the other two spots, you go to Oscar Wilde primarily for the ambiance and decor. Are there other and maybe better breakfast places out there? Of course! But we really love the atmosphere here and it’s always an adventure to see their latest themed decorations. Plus, the restaurant is filled with extraordinary art, quirky objects, and an ever-changing lineup of creative cocktails.

So why not try something new and give Oscar Wilde a visit. Please keep in mind though this restaurant is a bit on the pricier side.

Pumps or Sneakers?
I would say you can definitely dress up here and wear your nice Pumps, but don’t worry - no one will judge you for sneakers either. 😉
